There were 846 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$9.44 billion and HK$1.78 billion, or 30.61% and 5.78% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 34% and 41.27% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.4 billion and HK$1.09 billion of short sales, accounting for 4.53% and 3.55% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 31.23% and 36.8% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$12, or 9.76%, to HK$111. XL2CSOPHYNIX ended down HK$2.36, or 5.95%, to HK$37.28. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.174, or 3.73% to HK$4.496. HSCEI ETF declined by HK$1.96, or 2.2%, to HK$87.04.
