[ET Net News Agency, 22 November 2024] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$79.6 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$12.39 billion, or 15.57% of the
market's turnover. There were 638 short-selling stocks. XIAOMI-W (01810) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$967 million and HK$913.95
million, or 7.8% and 7.37% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 19.87% and 32.48% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$695.79 million and HK$565.06 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.61% and 4.56% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 23.2% and 35.83% of respective stock's
turnover.
XIAOMI-W closed up HK$0.9, or 3.2%, to HK$29.05. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.24, or
1.22%, to HK$19.48. TENCENT fell HK$3, or 0.74% to HK$404.6. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$0.98, or 1.37%, to HK$70.68.
