HK$138.91 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$22.34 billion, or 16.08% of the
market's turnover. There were 673 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W
(03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.65 billion and HK$1.88
billion, or 11.88% and 8.39% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 21.33% and 26.17% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.04 billion and HK$997.48 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.67% and 4.46% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 19.56% and 22.38% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.49, or 2.54%, to HK$19.76. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$11.9, or
7.24%, to HK$176.2. HSCEI ETF rose HK$2.12, or 3.05% to HK$71.62. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$1.1,
or 4.04%, to HK$28.3.
