[ET Net News Agency, 17 December 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$183.14 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$37.9 billion, or 20.69% of the
market's turnover. There were 796 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.3 billion and HK$3.54
billion, or 13.98% and 9.33% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 41.1% and 39.36% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$3.41 billion and HK$1.43 billion of
short sales, accounting for 9% and 3.77% of the total short sales values respectively. The
transactions represented 42.69% and 34.44% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.22, or 0.86%, to HK$25.66. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.06, or
1.13%, to HK$5.35. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.88, or 0.98% to HK$90.6. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$0.32,
or 0.78%, to HK$41.22.
