[ET Net News Agency, 2 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$193.5
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$37.9 billion, or 19.59% of the market's
turnover. There were 831 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.8 billion and HK$4.17
billion, or 20.58% and 11% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 69.88% and 44.88% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.94 billion and HK$1.38 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.11% and 3.64% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 30.91% and 13.89% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.114, or 2.27%, to HK$4.916. TRACKER FUND ended down
HK$0.48, or 1.78%, to HK$26.42. XIAOMI-W fell HK$1.6, or 4.58% to HK$33.3. BABA-W declined
by HK$3.8, or 2.66%, to HK$139.1.
