[ET Net News Agency, 3 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$187.56
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$31.57 billion, or 16.83% of the market's
turnover. There were 817 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.52 billion and HK$2.86
billion, or 14.32% and 9.06% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 46.89% and 27.1% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$2.75 billion and HK$992.03 million
of short sales, accounting for 8.72% and 3.14% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 40.04% and 13.83% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.08, or 0.3%, to HK$26.2. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.064,
or 1.31%, to HK$4.826. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.18, or 0.2% to HK$88.78. TENCENT jumped HK$3.5,
or 0.68%, to HK$517.5.
