[ET Net News Agency, 4 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$207.6
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$34.6 billion, or 16.67% of the market's
turnover. There were 848 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.4 billion and HK$2.77
billion, or 9.81% and 8% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 32.76% and 21.11% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) registered HK$1.64 billion and HK$1.6 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.73% and 4.63% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 43.76% and 44.47% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.7, or 2.7%, to HK$25.26. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.088,
or 1.85%, to HK$4.674. HSCEI ETF fell HK$2.04, or 2.32% to HK$86.04. XL2CSOPHYNIX declined
by HK$3.54, or 11.35%, to HK$27.64.
