[ET Net News Agency, 10 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$172.01
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$28.25 billion, or 16.42% of the market's
turnover. There were 800 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.87 billion and HK$2.4 billion, or
13.7% and 8.5% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
23.67% and 15.71% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$2.11 billion and HK$1.26 billion
of short sales, accounting for 7.46% and 4.46% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 35.4% and 19.85% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.38, or 1.48%, to HK$26. TENCENT ended up HK$29.5, or 5.72%,
to HK$545.5. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.072, or 1.49% to HK$4.894. BABA-W jumped HK$3.9, or
3.03%, to HK$132.6.
