[ET Net News Agency, 9 April 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$244.98
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$45.19 billion, or 18.45% of the market's
turnover. There were 815 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.17 billion and HK$2.83 billion, or 15.86%
and 6.26% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 34.29%
and 27.91% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$2.4 billion and HK$2.13 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.32% and 4.72% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 26.15% and 40.08% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.18, or 0.69%, to HK$26.02. BABA-W ended down HK$3.6, or
2.85%, to HK$122.9. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.116, or 2.4% to HK$4.714. XIAOMI-W declined by
HK$1.4, or 4.27%, to HK$31.36.
