billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$30.24 billion, or 14.74% of the market's
turnover. There were 815 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.84 billion and HK$2.36
billion, or 9.39% and 7.81% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 44.78% and 27.98% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.31 billion and HK$1.02 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.34% and 3.36% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 19.25% and 16.61% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.006, or 0.12%, to HK$4.956. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.1, or
0.38%, to HK$26.76. TENCENT fell HK$3.5, or 0.67% to HK$519. BABA-W declined by HK$0.7, or
0.51%, to HK$136.3.
