[ET Net News Agency, 29 December 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$126.41 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.09 billion, or 11.94% of the
market's turnover. There were 781 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.4 billion and HK$1.11
billion, or 9.27% and 7.33% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 17.6% and 22.74% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.08 billion and HK$610.68 million of
short sales, accounting for 7.13% and 4.05% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 13.73% and 13.35% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.1, or 0.38%, to HK$26.1. XIAOMI-W ended up HK$0.06, or
0.15%, to HK$39.28. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.8, or 0.88% to HK$92.1. BABA-W jumped HK$0.5, or
0.34%, to HK$146.5.
