[ET Net News Agency, 29 December 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$224.51 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$32.28 billion, or 14.38% of the
market's turnover. There were 821 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.47 billion and HK$2.18
billion, or 7.65% and 6.75% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 19.83% and 28.62% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$2.07 billion and HK$1.17 billion
of short sales, accounting for 6.4% and 3.64% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 15.88% and 12.85% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$0.16, or 0.18%, to HK$91.14. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$0.64, or
1.63%, to HK$38.58. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.18, or 0.69% to HK$25.82. BABA-W declined by
HK$2.7, or 1.85%, to HK$143.3.
