Green in Tuen Mun | Carnival of Rebirth

Do you have good recycling habits? Do you know where your recyclables go after they're picked up?

This June, Green in Tuen Mun is organizing a Carnival of Rebirth to coincide with the theme of 'Recycling for All Day'. The event aims to raise awareness about sustainable development and zero-waste landfills, explore the processing of different recyclables, and encourage the practice of clean recycling and waste reduction in daily life through the potential of recycling.

The carnival will feature a variety of activities, including a #FreeSecondHandMarket, challenging game booths that test your knowledge of environmental protection and recycling, and the ever-popular #Upcycling #EnvironmentalWorkshops where instructors will teach you how to reuse waste and kitchen leftovers! In addition, we will be hosting an 'Appliance Time Machine' exhibition, taking you on a journey through time to review the evolution of appliances, raising awareness about the importance and proper handling of waste appliance recycling to reduce the burden on our planet.

Don't miss the special edition of #FindingCow exclusive to this carnival! We will be posting game cows with questions in different corners of the station. Just show the staff screenshots of your answers, and you can redeem corresponding gifts based on the number of results you've collected. The 'Big Waste Ghost' will also be making an appearance, so be sure to bring your friends and family for a fun day out and some memorable photos!

A friendly reminder that you can now earn rewards by participating in the carnival! Simply take part in at least two activities in one carnival or submit at least 2kg of second-hand items in a second-hand collection event and complete the registration with the staff to earn 1 'Extra Reward' point. Accumulate 2 points to redeem a gift.

*You must accumulate at least 3 'Basic Reward' points in each phase before unlocking the 'Extra Reward.'

⚠ Notices:

1. If you have a fever or feel unwell, please avoid visiting 'Green in Tuen Mun.'

2. Please follow the staff's instructions for queuing during the event.

3. Children aged 8 or below must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate in the workshops and complete the same craft.

4. Green in Tuen Mun will provide the materials for the environmental workshops. The event adopts an on-site registration method (first-come, first-served, while stocks last). Each participant must line up in person at the designated location and register according to the queue order.

5. Queuing and registration for each workshop will open 20 minutes before the start of the session.

6. The Free Second-Hand Market will only distribute items and will not collect them.
